The Living Boat Trust (LBT) is an incorporated, membership based, non-profit association located in Franklin on the banks of the Huon River in southern Tasmania. It was founded in 1998. It is dedicated to keeping Tasmania's marine heritage alive. It aims to maintain traditional boat building, repairing, rowing and sailing skills, and to be a vital part of its community. It celebrates the history and beauty of this area and strive for a sustainable way of life for all concerned.
Our address is 3337 Huon Hwy, Franklin Tasmania 7113, and we always welcome visitors and new arrivals. We host a community dinner on Monday nights which is a good way to meet everyone and see what we are about. It's catered, except for the last Monday of the month.
